November 10: Dragon

November 10: Dragon

Tenri: “My character is called Dragon, though at some point my MC really needs to give him a name. He’s actually a dragon, but in my novel dragons can shift into humans. Dragon has the appearance of a 5-year-old boy, with fluffy, messy white/pale blonde hair and purple eyes. He wears a big shirt belonging to the guy he’s imprinted on (aka his ‘mama’) when he’s shifted into a human. :)”

I don’t pull out this style often, but man, sometimes a girl’s just gotta draw adorable, big-eyed children.

A huge thank-you to everybody who’s been leaving comments! I never know what to say when I try to respond individually, but you have no idea how much I appreciate it.

November 9: Vi Fitcher

November 9: Vi Fitcher

Morigale: “Name: Vi Fitcher

Sex: Male.

Age: About 20

Personality/misc: Very angry at you, me, life, everything. Extremely serious, rarely seen not frowning. An expert violinist who clings to his violin like he expects someone to take it away. Doesn’t really trust people, often snappish and can get violent. Almost mute – can speak, but not much louder than a whisper. Very raspy, unfitting voice.

He was originally human, swapped out by the fairies for a changeling, turned into a green heron for quite a while by use of a magic cloak, which altered his appearance some. The fairy queen took a liking to him and kept him as a pet, but his cloak was stolen on an outing to the human world and she abandoned him to his unpleasant fate.

Description: Also fairly tall, slightly shorter than Magnus. Looks delicate, not skinny but doesn’t look like he weighs much. Sharp but pretty, almost girlish features, big eyes, very bright yellow-green pupils. Pale, smooth skin. No facial hair. Hair is black, not ’shiny’ but a sort of matte grey-black. Most of it is very flat, in sort of a bob cut, but the hair in the middle stands up on its own in a sort of faux-hawk style. Shapewise, something like this stacked on top of this. (Lol, Sims hair. And both for the ladies, at that. Edit: And could I have used ’sort of’ and ’something like’ ANY more than I did?) Burn scars on his arms from his elbows to his wrists, a little bit onto his hands. Jagged diagonal slash across his neck. Both could be hidden under bandages depending if you want to draw them or not.

Clothing: Most of it isn’t especially important. Modern casual style, shirt would probably be in some shade of green or blue. Usually has bandages on his arms and neck, and/or a dark red scarf wrapped around his neck.”

Doing silly things with tones, because I can. The downside to doing these drawings for other people is that I feel like I really want to do something nice for them, whereas the dailies have always been here for me to do goofy style experiments. Hopefully this isn’t too goofy a style experiment to still look okay! I think it kinda works, myself. Not too fond of the violin, tho. Flashbacks to first-year Object Drawing class.

November 8: Addisyn Sawyer

November 8: Addisyn Sawyer

Jessica888: “Her name is Addisyn Sawyer, and she’s twenty-eight. Addi is five foot nine(ish), and has a slender build. She has green eyes, and dark brown, slightly wavy, shoulder-blade length hair. As for clothes, I’d love for her to be wearing white (or any pale colour, really) scrubs, like you’d see in a hospital. She’s a patient in a psychiatric hospital at the moment. As for the actual picture herself, if a ring on her right hand would be at all noticeable, please add it in. And if I have any say on the pose, I was thinking about her sitting on an old, plain, wooden chair, straight-faces, and preferably drawn facing forward, rather than at an angle. Do whatever your muse tells you about the pose though! I’m not overly picky XD”

I dunno how I feel about this one, I think the proportions are all off and I’ll hate it in the morning. But look, I’m going to bed before 5 AM for once! Be proud of meeeee.

November 7: Ahlam

November 7: Ahlam

jordandroid: “…the second main protagonist of my novel is an eleven year old girl named Ahlam (which is Arabic for dream). Whilst the events of the novel are told from another perspective, Ahlam is really the key, the main event.

She’s scrawny and wears a faded and incorrectly buttoned pale-blue school blouse, a dirty knee length skirt, and plimsolls. She carries around an extremely faded shopping bag for a UK supermarket chain called ‘TESCO’, and it’s full of water rations in tetrapak cartons. She has a lot of difficulty carrying it around. I imagine it’d be a prop or something in your artwork?

In my novel people have created underground communities after the sun has begun to turn into a Red Dwarf, and so she’s called a ’shelter-dweller’ – a name for the younger community members, who have never seen the sun. She has dank blue-black hair and pallid white skin. Her eyes are one of her most important features, they’re a very rich brown, and they’re very shiny because she has a problem with light sensitivity. Also, because of water rationing, she looks incredibly unkempt. It’s hot and dank down in the shelter catacombs so she’s pretty filthy. Her legs are covered with bruises and grime, her fingernails are thick with dirt, her hair is greasy. She looks unusual, and probably pretty disgusting.

I guess personality wise, she’s strange too. Mature past her age, disparaging of life in the shelter, and quite bitter about her status as a shelter-dweller rather than a sun-seer. “

Yes I’m still a day behind shut up you’re not my mom. (Except you. Hi, Mom.)

November 6: Lir

November 6: Lir

EnigmaticReader: “He is 5′ 11′ inches tall with an amber skin tone, somewhat slender and very wiry, with a mop of dark red (red as in really red, not orange) hair that covers his ears. His face is somewhat pointed, and his eyes are grey (but have no lashes), his nose is short and his teeth are long and pointed, although it is only really noticable when he smiles.

His fingers are long and tipped with claws, as are his toes, and his normal apparel is a linen vest, loose bear-pelt trousers (with belt), and linen wrappings around his feet and ankles.

His personality is warm and kind, and a little mischevious sometimes – he’s the sort of guy who’s got a twinkle in his eye, kind of like a favorite uncle.”
