God, this is so awful. She looks like an evil doll. In fact, I’m going to go with that. It’s an evil doll at a rock concert.

I’m sure this is somehow the fault of all the Malazan I’ve been reading.

This one was a big lesson, in that I did all the screens sort of roughly, then realized at the end I had quite a bit of time to spare and probably could have got the proportions down a bit better from the start. You live, you learn. An hour is a surprisingly long time.

Suddenly, the artist realizes with horror that she’s never learned to draw rocks.

Or trees.

Or water.

I think it’s time to do some studies.

I don’t like this one and I don’t know what’s going on and that’s a hell of a blobby arm. But this was my first speedpainting in a good long time, so whatever, takes me a while to get back into it, I guess.

You may also notice that I’m posting ten days’ worth of stuff on the tenth day of the month. That’s ’cause I was a couple of days behind until now, for sickness-and-moving-related-reasons, and didn’t want to start the month off on a bad foot. And was also still under the impression I could somehow catch up on August. Uh.
