August Theme: Shameless Fandom Extravaganza
So I need a theme for August. What am I doing in August? Well, I’m tabling in the Artists’ Alley at Fan Expo at the end of the month. Yeah, let’s just go with that.

August 1: Delirium
Delirium, from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comics. Del is kind of my go-to fanart subject. I did this rather more indepth illustration of her a couple of months ago, but I can’t resist any opportunity for a Del doodle.
August 2: Weeping Angel
Don’t blink. Don’t even blink. Blink, and you’re dead.
A Weeping Angel, from Doctor Who. Easily one of the creepiest things on TV in recent years.
August 3: 11th Doctor
Put a bit more work into this one than I’d normally afford a daily, since I was planning to use bits of it as a basis for some paper dolls I’m making for Fan Expo. (Yes, Doctor Who paper dolls. Because I am both a nerd and, deep down, an 8-year-old girl.) [...]
August 4: Crowley
Crowley, from Good Omens, which ties with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy for my favourite book of all time. Tomorrow, Aziraphale!
August 5: Aziraphale
Aziraphale from Good Omens; Crowley’s opposite number. I don’t like this one much; having a bad art day. It happens!
August 6: Team Rocket Grunt
If the fact that I’m a grown adult drawing Pokemon fanart isn’t enough to brand me an enormous nerd, the fact that I drew it from memory probably ought to be.
August 7: Amy Pond
Amy Pond, you are entirely too awesome. Be less awesome.*
Yes, more Doctor Who. I think I’ve got it out of my system now.

August 8: Jack Knight
Jack Knight from Starman, one of the best superhero comics I’ve ever read. GO GO DYNAMIC POSE.
August 9: Noale
Yes, I drew my own World of Warcraft character, shut up, she’s awesome.
Just a pencil drawing today, because look at all that freaking detail. I do want to colour it, but I’d also like to sleep at some point, so now is not the time.
August 11: Kim Pine
Scott Pilgrim is out on Friday! So until Friday, you get SCOTT PILGRIM FANART.
Kim Pine is not my favourite character, but I feel like cynical redheads named Kim need a little love, yanno? Just sayin’.
August 12: Ramona Flowers
Scott Pilgrim comes out TOMORROW. Here’s Ramona, with her giant hammer. (It’s +2 vs. girls!)
August 14: Albite
More WoW fanart, this time of one of Aggy’s multiple alts, because he’s a gnome death knight, and that is hilarious.
Also, that’s our guild tabard. Seriously.
August 15: The Shade
The Shade, from Starman; basically one of my favourite characters of all time. Suave, well-dressed, immortal, badass, and morally ambiguous? Yeah, I can get behind that.
August 17: Death
A little more Sandman fanart, partially because Death is an awesome character, but mostly because she’s one of the few characters I can draw from memory, more or less.
August 18: Dream
Because I did Sandman yesterday, so why not draw its actual protagonist?
I am tired.
August 19: Booster Gold
Superhero time! I’m not really a fan of DC’s big names, but I’ve got a soft spot for their D-listers. Tomorrow, there shall be Blue Beetle.
August 20: Blue Beetle
As a followup to Booster Gold, here’s Blue Beetle, his best friend and eternal bromance. Who was killed off. And now there’s another Blue Beetle.
But this one’s better.
August 21: Vriska Serket
Vriska, from the webcomic Homestuck on MSPaint Adventures. Except it’s not really a comic, it’s a sort of a… game parody art experience? Based on text-based adventure games? And there’s animation sometimes, and music, and there was a really cool interactive portion and… I don’t even know what to call it. [...]
August 23: Rose Lalonde
Okay, okay, ONE more MSPA character. I’ve got it out of my system. Really. I think.
(Working on stuff for Fan Expo, and I needed to draw something adorable as a break from working on my Garrus fanart. Not that Garrus isn’t adorable! It’s just… oh, you know.)
August 24: Zimmy
Needed to do a super quick one today (OH GOD FAN EXPO PREP) and still apparently not out of my “webcomics featuring children” phase, so here’s a little Gunnerkrigg Court fanart. How could you not love Zimmy? Okay, maybe because she’s terrifying. But still!
