August 21: Vriska Serket

Vriska, from the webcomic Homestuck on MSPaint Adventures. Except it’s not really a comic, it’s a sort of a… game parody art experience? Based on text-based adventure games? And there’s animation sometimes, and music, and there was a really cool interactive portion and… I don’t even know what to call it. But it’s a super cool story. It took me over an hour just to decide who to draw – I’ll probably do one of the human characters as well, but the troll storyline’s been so much fun that I had to pick one of them…

I was really unhappy with this drawing, and that’s when I tend to get experimental in Photoshop. Often that just ends up making a bad situation worse, but in this case, the weird mess I made of it actually looks pretty cool.
