This one’s based on two pictures off Shorpy – from 1915 and 1919. I’d forgotten how fabulous Shorpy is, just a wonderful archive of old photos. I could spend hours there. I have spent hours there.
Haven’t done a digital painting in so long, it felt like learning to draw all over again. Definitely need to get back into that; there was a time when it was pretty much my only medium and now it’s fallen by the sidelines. Can’t say I’m happy with this one, but hey, I pledged to show them all and I’m showing ‘em.
